The Competition Commission of Mauritius welcomes information and submissions from consumers, business representatives and others.
The CCM can only take action to redress a competition problem following a full, detailed investigation. It cannot simply intervene directly with suppliers to assist a consumer or business facing a problem. However, if you face a problem relating to a business (including a parastatal) behaving anticompetitively, or if you are concerned that a business might be in breach of the Competition Act 2007, then we would like to hear from you (although at present we will not be able to take action until the law is fully proclaimed and the Commission fully established).
The CCM is currently drafting guidelines, as well as advice leaflets for businesses and consumers, to provide an introduction to its work. These documents will be published before the CCM commences its work, in the second half of 2009.
